A graphical user interface of a machine designed according to ergonomic aspects not only increases comfort, but also ensures safety during operation. In order to create such user interfaces quickly and conveniently, we offer a development environment with our GSe-VISU software that is very easy for the user to operate. The highlight here is that the visualization can be created with just a few clicks, without the user having to have any programming knowledge. Objects such as bars, trend recorders or pointer instruments can be created by parameterization, for example. A typical example is the integrated scale generator, which can be used to create scales for bar graphs and pointer instruments for visualization. The user can also create fonts, Unicode-capable text objects, colors, bitmaps or touch buttons without any programming effort. It is simple and intuitive to use. Tools for aligning objects and defining the character sequence make work easier.

If required, for example if more complex applications are to be created, an editor for C/C++ is available within GSe-VISU. This contains all the functions of a modern development environment, such as code folding, syntax highlighting and an extensive system function API. It also offers debugging support via Visual Studio Code support. Regardless of whether a project is created through simple parameterization or more extensive programming, the project navigator with its tree structure helps the user to maintain an overview. Designs, configurations, C programs and other additional files, such as a powerful J1939 configurator, can be accessed quickly at any time.

Thanks to Unicode support and associated optimizations - including for Asian and Arabic fonts - language switching can also be implemented at runtime on the target system. This is a great advantage for machine manufacturers who are active in various global markets.
