3. Product development

Efficient product development for complex tasks

Against the background of ever shorter production times, constantly increasing quality requirements and forced price pressure, operating and control systems must be optimized in every respect. From the initial idea, through the concept, to design and prototype construction, we realize your sophisticated products. Our qualified research and development team masters all steps from customer requirements to series production of an OEM or standard product.

Product Design

Design as success factor

During the concept phase, the design drafts of the HMI are reviewed with you and approved. This includes both the:

  • shape and color of device housings
  • haptic operating elements and their arrangement
  • front decorative foils
  • different materials
  • application areas and IP classification
  • design of the software user interface and its individual visual objects

Upon request, mechanical parts of a product can be printed in a 3D rapid prototyping process and produced for review and discussion of change requests.

Electronics and Embedded

Without compromises

We develop innovative electronic circuits for you based on the latest processor generation, design the associated circuit diagrams and use them to create an EMC-optimized PCB layout. In doing so, we dispense with processor circuits already available on the market and bring our expertise for functionality, robustness, speed and longevity to the point.

Based on Linux, we developed efficient embedded software architectures for you, which are noticeable to the user through short boot times and process optimizations.

Due to our long-standing expert knowledge you benefit from our latest GSe-OS® generation.

Application

According to user experience criteria

Our application team masters all steps from the requirement to the series application of the mobile working machine. We divide the different development processes into five steps:

  1. Our development process begins with a detailed analysis of the requirements profile. This consists of operating and control functionalities related to sensors and actuators, capturing the user story for design and user navigation, and user experience considerations.
  2. Based on this, the overall software architecture is designed and approved together with the customer.
  3. As part of our agile development process, we interactively work with the customer to ensure implementation and validation of the program into their automation model.
  4. The integration and system tests are now carried out in the customer test center with the aim of mapping all functions and identifying possible program errors. The final step is the series release and the handover of the complete documentation.
  5. To ensure permanent availability, regular software updates to improve the GSe-OS® operating system as well as the GSe-VISU® development environment are available to the customer.
