HMI system solutions

Functionalities of HMI in mobile machines

The possibilities of HMI in the control of mobile machines are manifold. Here is a look at the most important functions:

"Machine Manager" system architecture

The HMI, which can be programmed with different development environments, is the communication and control center in the machine architecture. I/Os are connected via decentralized modules, motor data is read directly from the motor ECU and visualized. Camera images allow the operator to view areas that are difficult to see. Performance Line devices also enable BirdView, the view of the surroundings from above.

"Machine Client" system architecture

The HMI is a client in the machine architecture. I/Os are controlled centrally via an ECU. Engine data is also read directly from the engine ECU, evaluated and then communicated to the HMI for visualization. Camera images are also possible here via cameras connected directly to the HMI. Performance Line devices also enable BirdView, the view of the surroundings from above.

Monitoring and control
With an HMI, the operator can easily monitor various machine parameters - from speed and temperature to operating hours. If necessary, they can intervene directly to adjust speeds or activate special operating modes.

Fault diagnosis
Modern HMI systems are real problem solvers. They can detect errors in real time and issue warning messages. This means greater safety and less downtime because problems are detected at an early stage.

User friendliness
A well thought-out design is the key to user-friendliness. An intuitive HMI makes it easier for new users to get started and enables experienced users to work efficiently. Touchscreens, graphics and visual representations increase accessibility.

Data acquisition and analysis
Finally, HMI systems can also be used for data acquisition. They collect important information about machine operation, which can then be analyzed to optimize operating processes and enable predictive maintenance.

HMI system solutions are an essential component of modern machine control systems. They not only make interaction with machines easier, but also safer and more efficient. With the right HMI system integration, working with mobile machines becomes child's play. Let's get ready for the future of technology - it looks promising!

Communicate more easily with machines

Human-machine interfaces, or HMIs for short, allow us humans to interact with machines and systems. Regardless of whether they are physical buttons or modern digital displays - HMIs play a central role in the world of mobile machines such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery or forklift trucks!

HMI system integration is about seamlessly integrating HMI solutions into mobile machines in order to control various functions. This requires a complex system architecture. The HMI can act as a simple display, but can also control the entire system as a master. There are some exciting aspects here:

Hardware integration
This is where we select the right sensors, control elements and displays. The aim? These parts should perfectly match the requirements of the machine and the wishes of the operator. To make everything easier and more efficient!

Software integration
The development of user interfaces and control algorithms is crucial for intuitive operation. Special programming languages and development environments that have been specially developed for HMI applications are often used here. The aim is to make interaction as pleasant as possible.

Communication protocols
An HMI must also be able to communicate with other systems such as control units or sensors. This is where various communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet or serial interfaces come into play. This keeps everything connected and running smoothly!
